The Baobob tree is sometimes called ‘the tree of life’.
Harvesting the baobab fruit takes place during the dry season. The process of drying the fruit is done 100% naturally, by the sun.
The baobab is harvested just once a year. Local women walk through the wild bush collecting the fruit which has fallen from the mighty baobab tree. This fruit is then processed by hand to extract the flesh, which is then dried and ground into a powder.
